Message from the Mayor

As youre newly elected mayor, I would like to thank you for your support and encouragement during my campaign and as I served on Council the last four years.

I have several major goals that I hope to accomplish with your help during the next four years. My first goal is to lead a Council that will listen and be responsive to your ideas and concerns. Communication is the key to this goal, and I hope you will come to council meetings as your schedule allows. Also, please feel free to call me at 242-6606 whenever you need to talk to me.

My second objective is to make sure we plan proactively for the future of Windsor. Our first step is rewriting the zoning and subdivision ordinances which we have begun. This will ensure that our Town looks the way we want it to look in the years ahead. We are also going to start soon on planning where we want sidewalks in Windsor as money becomes available. We need your input on both of these.

My other major goal is to work with our Town Manager to continue strict oversight of our budget to ensure that your tax dollars are spent wisely and that we are obtaining all the money that is available from outside sources to improve our Town

We have an excellent staff that looks for ways to save the Town money. This has allowed us to minimize our expenditures and balance our budget without a tax increase. I appreciate all their hard work.

Message from the Town Manager

As the Town Manager, and on behalf of all of our employees, I welcome you to the Town of Windsor. Please visit our offices at the Town Hall at 8 East Windsor Boulevard. Our “welcome mat” is always out.

Our primary mission is to enhance the value of life in Windsor by working cooperatively with the community to promote public health, safety, order, and prosperity. We strive to maintain the highest quality of service to meet the present and future needs of the community.

The Town of Windsor operates under the council-manager form of government. The Town Council is composed of a Mayor and six Council members elected at large on a non-partisan basis. The Town Council appoints the Town Manager who serves at the pleasure of Council.
